Silent Auction and Pot Luck Lunch
Thursday, December 6, 2001
On Thursday, December 6th, the Annual Silent
Auction and Pot Luck Luncheon was held. In addition to funding
scholarships, part of this year's proceeds went toward the purchase of a new
wheelchair for Albert LaChance, a part-time employee in the Facilities
Management department.
Over 100 craft items were donated by the talented local members. In
addition, members provided enough main dishes, breads, and desserts to stock a
very bountiful buffet table. Thanks to the hard work and generosity
of our members. Over $1400 was raised. The Classified
Employees Scholarship Committee is now planning on collecting recipes for those
dishes served at the luncheon and publishing a cookbook in the spring.
